信心的脚步

新年的門

我對那站在新年門前的人說：
“請借我光，我好安全踏上未知。”

但他說：
“走出去進入黑暗，把你的手放在神的手裏，那對於你會比光更好，比已知的路更安全。”

我就走向前去尋求神的手
歡然踏入夜間
祂引導我走向山
並破曉孤寂的東方。

這樣，心要安然！
我們人生何需知道
如果神有周全？

在一切世務上昏眩掙扎
不論高與低
神隱藏祂深的旨意。

Gate of the Year

I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.”

And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God, that shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way.”

So I went forth and finding the Hand of God
Trod gladly into the night
He led me towards the hills
And the breaking of day in the lone east.

So heart be still!
What need our human life to know
If God hath comprehension?

In call the dizzy strife of things
Both high and low
God hideth His intention.
